Our History
Furia & Son Millwork/Coatings and Plywood Inc. wasn’t always the Cabinet Shop andSupplier that it is today
The organization started with just the father of the titular “Furia & Son”, David Furia, in 1986 when he returned home from spending his formative years in the American Southwest. This is when David opened the original incarnation of the company which at the time as know as “Mica and Wood Inc.” in Bohemia, NY.
For 25 years David serviced Long Island and NYC as the premier custom fabricator for a vast spectrum of clients ranging from the St. Therese Of Lisieux Catholic Church in Montauk all the way to managing the construction of displays for Fashion Week in New York City Moving forward to the beginning of the 2010’s, David’s son Jake would be graduating from High School and looking for a career path. After a short time of studying locally, David offered Jake a place in the family business and they began they’re journey
together.
In 2020 Jake was made a partner and the company took on it’s current moniker as it is today under Furia & Son Millwork Inc./Coatings and Plywood Inc.
Since then, we have taken on a variety of partnered distributorships with companies like Hafele, Mohawk Finishing, Grabber Screws and many more as we strive to service more and more customers from Long Island and New York City.
